In 1983, John Loughrey was invited to attend The Million Dollar Round Table, (an exclusive gathering within the Financial Services industry) in Dallas, Texas. Prior to this, John had spent a decade working across various areas of finance. However, more than anything, it was his experience at this event that convinced him that life assurance, pensions and investments could make a real difference to peoples’ lives; and he understood how much that mattered. Based on this principle, John founded what is today known as John F. Loughrey Financial Services – that was back in 1984 and over the past three decades, the company has gone from strength to strength.
After graduating from Smurfit Business School, John’s daughter Lisa joined the company, ensuring continuity, stability and a solid outlook for the future of the business. John and Lisa work closely with each team member to ensure the values on which the company was founded are continuously nurtured within the team. Together, they place a strong emphasis on customer care, industry knowledge and professionalism. As a company, John F. Loughrey Financial Services believes in promotion from within and it is a great source of pride that many of our team are long standing employees, who have worked their way up through the business.
